One Hurdle Behind Me
I took the GRE today, got the 800 quant (it was much easier than I expected from practice tests, which was a nice feeling). Only a 600 verbal, but I felt pretty confident about the writing portion (although this may mean that I actually blew it and I am just that clueless...) So, on with the show (and by show, I mean complex and real analysis, probability, etc). I'll keep in touch and g'luck to everyone else taking it.

Congrats on the GRE! You definitely have jumped over that hurdle.
And no "ass to the stress" was not intentional, although now I wish it was.
:-)
Congrats again and good luck with your classes/apps.
Good job...You will be fine.

Thanks guys, I'll keep posting stuff. I am narrowing my university list down at the moment, looks like it will be like this:
1. Maryland
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. Minnesota
5. Illinois
6. IU
7. North Carolina
8. Purdue
I may throw one or two in (UCSD if one of my profs who went there suggests it), but i don't want to apply to more than ten programs. Yale probably won't be included because I'd feel like I was throwing my money away... although, man I would love to work with the Capuchin monkeys they have out there!
